Oil Warmers

Oil warmers provide a quick and easy way to scent your home. They often make an attractive decoration as well. There are two types of oil warmers : oil warmers that use candles as the source of heat, and electric oil warmers which work by heating the oil with a small electric bulb. Oil warmers are also called "Oil Burners", but in reality, they warm up the oil, not burn it. Periodically, the oil dish should be washed and cleaned up, then filled with fresh oil.
Oil warmers are available in all shapes and sizes. With many different styles available, finding an oil warmer that fits your individual décor and personality is easy, although you may have difficulty choosing just one. An oil warmer can be an elegant work of art or it can be a lighthearted piece that expresses your favorite hobby. Oil warmers are usually made out of ceramic, glass or metal giving you the option of choosing your favorite textures as well.

Candle Oil Warmers

A candle oil warmer has a compartment that holds a tea light which is below a dish that holds the oil. When the candle is lit, it warms the oil. Place the perfume oil in the dish or reservoir of your oil warmer. If you prefer essential oils instead of perfume oils, first pour some distilled water in the dish or reservoir and then add a few drops of essential oil to the strength scent you desire. Adding distilled water prevents the essential oil to stain the dish.

Prepare your tea light. It is best to use an unscented tea light candle to avoid scent mixing with your perfume or essential oil. Place the tea light in the bottom of your oil warmer or into the candle holder part of your oil warmer if it has one. Find the wick of the candle and make it stand up straight. Light your candle. Keep the flame away from your fragrance oil so that it will not catch on fire.

Place the oil dish back on the top of the oil warmer if you have removed it. The oil warmer should immediately begin to scent your room once it warms up.

Check your oil warmer periodically. Maintain an appropriate level of oil in the oil dish, and watch the oil burner for smoke. If your oil warmer begins to smoke, extinguish the candle, clean your oil warmer and start over with a new tea light.

Electric Oil Warmers

An electric oil warmer works by heating the perfume or the essential oil with a small electric bulb. Most electric oil warmers have a dimmer switch which allows you to control the heat generated to warm the oil. Turn the dimmer switch down low and the halogen bulb heats the oil slowly, giving a faint fragrance. Increase the intensity of the light and increase the level of the fragrance. The bulbs are replaceable.

Halogen Light Bulb for electric oil warmers

Never directly touch the light bulb with your hands, the natural oil from your skin on the light bulb will increases its temperature and soon burn out.

Always wait for the light bulb to cool down, then handle it with a napkin or gloves.

Night Light

Oil Warmers

The night light oil warmer is great for the bathroom or kitchen. They plug directly into the wall outlet, and most of them have a dimmer control. These type of oil warmers allow you to enjoy aromatherapy while you are asleep.

The night light oil warmer should be plugged in above the counter to prevent children and pets from running into them and spilling hot oil.

Oil Light Rings

The oil light diffuser rings make it easy for you to enjoy the soothing and rejuvenating fragrance of essential oils and their therapeutic effects.

Simply place your favorite essential or perfume oil into the ridge of the ring. Place the ring atop your lamp's light bulb, and turn on the light. The heat from a light bulb heats the oil in the Lamp Ring and the oil is then gently diffused into the room. As needed, simply add more oil to continue your aromatherapy experience.

Please remember : only apply your oils when the lamp is off and the ring is cool ensuring that you do not get any oil on the light bulb itself or on the fitting, as essential oils are inflammable. This device is easy to use and inexpensive, and you can change the mood of the room instantly.

Tips : Use a low-watt bulb. The cooler the bulb, the longer the fragrance will last. 25-40 watt bulbs work best. Don't go above 60 watts or your oil may burn!

The Oil light Diffuser Rings are available in different materials and colors and they all work the same.
