manufacturing soaps, insect repellents, and making perfumes.

History: A small
green plant, commonly known as ‘Umbrella’s Edge’, which is found in damp
tropical areas in Bengal, eastern and southern India. The plant produces
deep brown aromatic tubers from which the essential oil is distilled.
